Fire Extinguishing caused Water in Crawlspace
We responded to a recent fire caused by a lightning strike at a local residence. Unlike many other restoration companies - we surveyed the entire home including the crawlspace. What we found indicated that lightning had struck outside the home, but had made contact with electrical lines running into the crawlspace to the HVAC system. This resulted in a fire, and the HVAC system pulling the fumes into the home through the return system. While this work was handled by HVAC and electrical companies, SERVPRO performed extraction services to restore the crawlspace. Photo 1 shows the amount or water found and photo 2 shows the area after the water was extracted.
