Flooding Damage to Vinyl Floor

After heavy rains, one of our customer's discovered flooding had affected the interior of the home. In Sussex County, intense storms are common. Many homes experience flooding due to poor groundwater drainage on their property. In this situation, the flooding affected a sun room on the exterior of the home. The vinyl flooring started to swell and deform due to the flood-water. As a result, there was also water trapped between the concrete floor and the vinyl. Trapped moisture can lead to further problems such as unpleasant odors and mold growth. We removed the damaged flooring and set equipment to facilitate thorough drying of the space.
