Drying After Flood Damage
These photos illustrate some basic methods for treating flood damage to a residential home. In most flood situations, the water that has come into contact with building materials contains a variety of organic contaminants. Because of this, we remove drywall that has taken on water to prevent any microbial or fungal growth. Following the removal of affected materials, we set drying equipment and treat the area. These images show some of the equipment that we use, and how we contain certain areas to concentrate airflow to facilitate more effective drying.
